Hey Rhuigi, Can I get a pair of Rhude Rhecess 1 Highs?

Rhuigi Villasenor is on fire right now. It's been a successful summer for the the founder and design director at RHUDE.

He is fresh off previewing his Spring/Summer 2020 Seven Falls collection at his first Paris Fashion Week runway show, a Puma collaboration and a sold-out Vans collaboration with pairs being resold at $1,000 to1,600.00 a piece on StockX. The Los Angeles-native even got his own KITH ice cream flavor dubbed the Rhude Boy. 

Like everybody else, I've been drawn into his eye catching designs like his re-imagination of the Marlboro cigarette carton (word lettering and logo), plays off vintage Harley Davidson prints (think eagles and wolves), his signature yellow jaw string cord and more.

On his Instagram, he whispered that he might release limited pairs of the Rhude Rhecess 1 High on his birthday (August 15th) and I BADLY need a pair. Update: Still waiting.

The silhouette is handmade in Italy and will be releasing in a White/ Dollar Green or White/Red color-way with others on deck. It is a combination of an 80's retro basketball shoe and Italian sneaker.

Beautiful accents, yellowed midsole for a vintage aesthetic, wrap-around lacing and the brand’s RHUDE lettering embroidered prominently on the heels which I believe elevates this new school vintage shoe to epic proportions. #dollargreen Won’t show all the sauce but every aspect of the shoe is done by hand in Italy. Was thinking bespoke shoe sensibility but in the streets fresh. All to reach that 35 year age look. That new age vintage dialogue we’ve kept from the start. Post mod #luxury
